Bio
Whether you're in the middle of a life transition, feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, or just not sure where to begin, you don't have to figure it out alone.
Together, we’ll cultivate a warm, curious, collaborative space where you can explore what's difficult and build on what's already strong in you. Humor has a place here too — growth doesn't have to feel heavy all the time. My goal is to help you develop practical tools for navigating change, deepening your relationships, and managing life's harder chapters with more self-knowledge and ease.
Before training as a clinician, I spent many years as a published novelist and writing instructor. That work has shaped how I listen: for the story underneath the story, and for the feelings we don't yet have the words for. I believe every person is the author of their own life, even (or maybe especially) in the chapters that don't yet make sense. As a parent in the "sandwich" years, I also bring a lived understanding of the work of caregiving, chronic illness, and the particular kind of grief that can live alongside love. I especially welcome creatives, teens and young adults, people undertaking career or relationship shifts, parents, caregivers, and couples and families facing transitions together.
My approach is integrative and relational, rooted in a psychodynamic understanding of how our histories, relationships, and bodies shape our present-day experience. I draw on mindfulness-based and somatic practices, attachment theory, and CBT and DBT when they feel useful, and I tailor each session to what you actually need, not a one-size-fits-all model of healing.
I look forward to supporting you on your path toward growth, healing, and a deeper sense of self.
