Bio
I believe strongly in the importance of the therapist-client relationship and work diligently to create a bond that enables honesty, vulnerability, and the confidence to seek lasting and meaningful change. In my work, I find that making discoveries about the stories we tell ourselves and the patterns we find ourselves in can be very empowering. Becoming curious about yourself, how your past has shaped you, and what you might do now to positively impact your future can seed healing, growth, and transformation.
I work with adults of all ages who seek growth and change in a variety of areas, including identity, anxiety, depression, grief, interpersonal and relationship processes, trauma, self esteem issues, and life transitions. My approach is integrative, relational, and psychodynamic. This means we explore your relationship to yourself, to others, and the world in which you live. Whether we’re focusing on the past or your present, together we can positively impact your future. By integrating practices informed by cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, family systems therapy, LGBTQ+ affirming practices, and mindfulness, I am able to tailor my work with you to your lived experience and personal preferences and unique needs.
I love working with clients from all walks of life and at the core of my work is an unwavering dedication to antiracism, intersectionality, inclusivity, liberation, and LGBTQIA+ competency. Whether this is your first time in therapy or a continuation of your journey of self-discovery and actualization, I bring to our work a set of skills and values that supports your self-determination and empowerment, embraces the inherent awkwardness of being vulnerable and working towards change, and meets you where you are, with compassion and humor.
