Bio
Whether you come to therapy for the first time or are returning to do more meaningful work, I’m here to support you with a listening ear, compassionate care, curiosity, and openness. My clients come from all walks of life, seeking growth and change that lead to healing. My practice and experience serving the BIPOC community, mature adults, folks who are caregivers, and people navigating chronic illness informs my support for your therapeutic journey as you navigate life’s challenges and transitions, or as you explore new strategies to address your stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or trauma. I am a Black woman and am trained in cultural sensitivity and work with clients experiencing racial trauma.
We will take a holistic approach, incorporating a variety of approaches to suit your unique needs. I draw from trauma-informed and evidence based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness to support my clients on their journey towards healing. I create a warm and judgment free space to help you build emotional intelligence and process important events. I believe in a collaborative approach and empower my clients to identify their goals and pace their work to meet them.
