Bio

We all develop ways of moving through life, and sometimes those ways can start to feel ineffective or stop working altogether. Sometimes we can identify what needs addressing; other times, we may simply sense that something has changed or needs to change.

For me, therapy is a partnership built on genuine relational care, where we work together to understand your challenges and find more adaptive ways of responding to them. There is no performance, script, or need to reconfigure your words and feelings into therapy language. My job is to listen, ask questions, notice patterns, offer perspective, and at times challenge you. While we'll always take the work we do together seriously, we’ll also create space for humor and levity. In life and therapy, it is always about finding that balance.

My own life has profoundly shaped the work I do. I've navigated divorce and have parented through serious mental health challenges in my family. Those experiences and others have expanded my understanding of relationships, caregiving, uncertainty, and resilience. I learned firsthand that caring deeply for others also requires staying grounded, extending compassion to ourselves, and trusting our capacity to navigate difficult moments.

My approach is integrative and relational, drawing from psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral approaches, and the deep connection between mind and body. My background in meditation, breathwork, yoga, and somatic practices informs this work. Much of what happens in life is not under our direct control. With mindfulness, we can, however, become more aware of how fear, avoidance, judgment, and maladaptive patterns can impact our ability to manage life and, by extension, the degree to which we suffer. Learning to relate differently to our own thoughts and emotions can be a powerful lever for mediating and shaping our lived experience.

Helping you become a person free of anxiety, sadness, or overwhelm is not my goal, nor is it possible; these experiences are part of life for all of us. What I can help you build is self-knowledge rooted in curiosity rather than judgment, along with trust in your ability to meet whatever comes next effectively and authentically.

I am an Advanced Clinical Intern at The Therapy Collective in my final year of training and completion of my MSW at Columbia University School of Social Work.
