Meryl Breidbart, LMSW Candidate

Social Work Intern

I am an MSW candidate at the Columbia School of Social Work, focusing on working with kids, teens, and adults, navigating a wide range of concerns. I offer compassionate and effective support tailored to each client’s unique needs. I find it very rewarding to work with clients who are challenged by life transitions, grief, depression, anxiety, work, social or interpersonal stress, family conflict, and a host of other challenges.

As a mother, I have a special interest in working with and understanding parents’ unique challenges, providing a supportive space to navigate them. I am committed to creating meaningful, empathetic connections and solutions that address personal and environmental stressors.

A niche specialty of mine is addressing mental health concerns arising from the current climate crisis. With over a decade of experience in climate technology—first as a founder and designer and later as an investor—l have transitioned my focus from innovative solutions for a sustainable future to supporting individuals directly. My extensive background in the climate sector has given me unique insights into the psychological impacts of environmental issues.

I am eager and look forward to collaborating with individuals across various contexts. I am thrilled to be completing my final year of study and training as a Social Work Intern at The Therapy Collective.
