Meryl Breidbart, LMSW Candidate

Social Work Intern

I am passionate about helping people navigate life’s ups and downs. Whether you’re dealing with life transitions, grief, anxiety, work stress, or family dynamics, I’m here to support you with compassionate, effective therapy tailored to your unique needs.
I work with adults, couples, and groups, and strive to help you understand and heal from your past while addressing the challenges you’re facing today. I take a holistic approach, drawing from mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and psychodynamic modalities to meet you where you are and guide you toward growth and resilience.

As a mother, I am particularly interested in working with parents, understanding firsthand how complex and rewarding that journey can be. Having switched careers myself—after more than a decade as a founder, designer, and investor in the climate tech space—I also love working with those navigating big life and career changes. I know what it’s like to reinvent yourself and I am excited to help others do the same.

One of my niche specialties is addressing the mental health impacts of the climate crisis. With my background in climate technology, I bring a unique perspective to supporting those grappling with eco-anxiety, climate grief, and related stressors. I’m passionate about blending personal growth with broader environmental concerns, helping clients find balance in a world that’s rapidly changing.

Currently, I’m in the final year of my Master’s training at Columbia University’s School of Social Work and providing low- to no-cost services at The Therapy Collective. I look forward to working with individuals from all walks of life, creating a warm, empathetic space for healing and growth.
